Honey


The hills of the north part of the Province of Treviso are a good environmental to breed bees. Beehives are the streets of chestnut-trees or acacia woods or in the flowered meadows along. Honey that derives from them is of high quality and good taste, thanks to professional farmers.

In the Alta Marca Trevigiana are made the ACACIA HONEY, with a light colour, delicate and flowers taste; the CHESTNUT HONEY, with a darker colour and hard smell and taste and the MILLEFIORI, that has different smells, because of the different flowers.

Honey is a nourishment that has followed human history, with particular and precious properties. The tradition of the area on the north part of the Province of Treviso teaches to use it with the hot drinks (milk, different infusions...) in addition to the preparation of traditional cakes.
